Make Something Monday

It's Monday! From now on, I'll start sharing my digital scrapbooking pages from Monday-Sunday of the previous week. I hope you don't get too bored. I really do love this hobby and creative outlet. I enjoy creating the pages and keeping my family's memories.

Make Something Monday

Let's just pretend the whole last 7 months worth of blog posts are filled with witty and funny stories and beautiful scrapbooking pages. We can all agree on that, can't we? Sound  like a plan?

So the last 7 months have been...well, time has passed. My last post went into detail about how I had injured my leg and foot. Let me first tell you that now, 7 months later, I'm fine. I'm pretty well healed. I already have osteoarthritis in the site, so I'll have to deal with that for the rest of my life, but other than that, and some run-of-the-mill aches and pains, I'm good. I get to be one of those old ladies that can tell the weather by the cricks and creaks of her bones. As far as the whole healing process, just suffice it to say that it was long and hard, defeating and inspiring, and it's over now. I mean, I'm as healed as I'm going to get, and I'd call myself about 92% "back to normal." That's not bad, right?

I have missed blogging. For my abundance of readers (of whom I can count on one hand, heh), I'm sorry for just leaving you hanging. Blogging hadn't really even crossed my mind until a while ago, when a friend of mine said, "Hey, when you gonna blog again?" Then I remembered how much fun it was (when I had the inspiration) and how it was another way to connect with people. So I think, for now, I'm going to keep the same loose schedule I was on before.

That means it's make something Monday and we all knows that means me sharing my favorite hobby - digital scrapbooking. I'm a CTM (creative team member) for so many amazing designers and still enjoy it so much. I've done hundreds of pages in the 7 months I've been gone, so I'm just going to share a favorite page from each of the designers I create for. Here goes...

Be thoughtful Thursday

Be thoughtful Thursday is meant to be for going out and doing something for other people. While that will work some weeks, this week it's not going to pan out, so I've gone a different way for thoughtfulness.

This Thursday, I'm going to talk about the process of thinking and writing down things you're thinking. My hobby of digital scrapbooking helps me in this respect a lot. I have a creative outlet to put down some of my thoughts and I am so thankful for that. We have this thing in the scrapping world called "scrap therapy." Most of the time, we like to scrap beautiful pictures, fun events, funny things that happened. But it's also good to get your feelings, your REAL feelings down on paper, whether it be just writing them or doing something creative. Sometimes, just writing down how shitty you feel helps you actually feel better. Like talking to the best listener ever...yourself! Now those of us in the digi-world may choose to share these LOs or not. I'm going to share a couple of mine with you guys. And mind you, not all of the feelings you want to get down are necessarily BAD feelings, some are just, well, emotional.

This one, I knew I needed to kick my own butt. But I got to give myself a tongue-lashing in a beautiful way!

This one is an emotional one about my little one growing up and what I wish for her.

These next two LOs are ones that I've only shared in one gallery. They're not all over digiland like all my other LOs are. This one is very emotional for me.

And, obviously, so is this one.

So do you all keep a diary? Journal? Scrap therapy? Do you just internalize everything? If you do, how's that working out for you?

Well, that's that for today. Thanks for letting me bare my soul. Don't stomp on it, please.

Love to all,

Make Something Monday

Well, I did well there for a few days, huh? I think if I can just get ahead of myself and maybe even start some posts before the day of, I could actually keep on top of this thing. I really do enjoy blogging, so I wanna...well, blog.

So onward, my friends. It is make something Monday!! Let's seeeeee. What have I made lately? Oh! That's right. This little thing I do called digital scrapbooking layouts! So here's the LOs that I've done from January 1st - today. Minus two that I'm going to share on Thursday. Plus, I have a few done that don't go out until Thursday or Friday ;)

2012 plan and Make Something Monday

Hey all. Thought I'd share with you a rough "schedule" of what I'll be doing on my blog. NO, I won't be posting everysingle day. I'm going to try, just because I enjoy blogging, but if I don't blog a day or two (or three) a week, I'm not gonna beat myself up about it. And I don't think the 3 people that read my blog are gonna care, either. So here 'tis.

I pinned this on Pinterest from here (if you don't know what Pinterest is, hang in there. I'm sure I'll be talking about it all the time).

So yes, Make Something Monday is going to be dedicated to...guess what...you got it!!! Digital Scrapbooking. It IS what I "make" most often. (BTW, no matter what the post is scheduled to be about on any certain day, be prepared to see some digiscrap stuffs comin' your way. I can't help but share this stuff!)

(For those of you that don't really care about my digiscrap hobby, you can skip this paragraph.) So quick overview of my scrapping life. I am active in 2 forums, Sweet Shoppe Designs and The Digichick. I am a CTM (Creative Team Member) for the most amazing designers. Misty Cato, The Digichick, eNKay Designs, Etc. By Danyale, Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs, HGD by Laurie Ann, Queen of Hearts, and Jen Yurko. I am also guesting for Jeanye Labaya Designs for the month of January. I CT for designers that I ADORE and have no problem shouting to the world how awesome their designs are.

Since I've been away from blogging for so long, I'm of course not gonna show every LO that I've done since the last time. But I will show you a favorite from each of my awesome designers.

Happy New Year, friends!

Hi everyone! It's a new year! I'm excited. I have big plans for this year. This is the YEAR OF ME!!! mmmmmmmwaaahhaaahhaaahhaaaa! That's not as narcissistic as it sounds. We all know how we tend to not make time for ourselves. Not take care of ourselves. Not do things for ourselves. I'm going to try my hardest to take care of ME this year. Well, I guess I'll help take care of that one kid. You know, the one that lives in my house for some strange reason?

In the digiscrap world around this time, everyone's all abuzz with the "One Little Word" phenomenon. It's a class given by Ali Edwards. I have no idea what your actually supposed to do in the actual class, but I'm doing my own thing with OLW...cause that's how I roll. I've chosen a OLW that I can apply to many aspects of my life. Yes, I'm sure I'll scrap about it (already have, as a matter of fact), but that's not my main focus. I want it to be a constant reminder of how I want to/should be/am going to live my life. My One Little Word this year is:

Good word, huh? Yeah, I picked it myself. This is a word I can use throughout my everyday life.

I can use it with my family. We can actually get up and do stuff. Go places together. Do projects together. Just BE together DOING thing together more.

I can use this at work. Other than prompting me to actually get some stinkin' work done, I can use it to encourage myself to move above and beyond what I am doing. You know, make something of myself.

I can use this, of course, in exercise. Which I WILL BE DOING. I am ready to do this thang.

As you can tell, I can really use this in so many applications. And I will be. I need to do this, not only for myself, but for my family and friends...anyone who holds me important.

This is the first LO I've done for OLW. I think it has just the kind of feel that I was looking for.

So for now, that is all. I will be blogging regularly again. This is another thing I'm taking ACTION on, and I'm determined in. Not that anyone reads this pathetic little blog, but I enjoy blogging, so I'll be doing it.

Until next time,
